FIELD INSTALLATION
The installation of industrial plant cables includes cable tray route planning, cable tray load factor, cable installation and segregation (seperation of power and signal cables).
The cables on the horizontal cable tray are fixed with cable ties once every 3 meters whereas cables on the vertical cable tray are fixed once every 1.2 meters.
Unsuitable cable adjustment, insufficient space between cables and stacked dust above the cables reduces the amount of current that cable can carry and results in overheating.
Improperly fixed cables can run over the cable tray and start to hang resulting in short circuit or swinging around during the eathquakes.
Improperly done segregation can cause false signals in the instrumentation because of the power cables’ magnetic field.
